What Members Thought
Surprisingly, the Netflix series is fairly faithful to the book—so faithful that you’re better off waiting to read the novel if you’ve just watched the show, and vice versa. They’re both excellent, though.
As I said about the TV show, I loved this and I don’t even care a thing for chess. The book also gave me the same feeling. The writing is clear, precise but not too precise, and straightforward, but the character presentation is what draws you in. Two questions though: why so much washing of faces? Why so much eating of eggs?
