It became a bit boring to me mid-book. I wished I would have read the conversation with Susan in the back and the discussion questions before I read the book. But I did enjoy it to the point that I live in the area and was interesting to hear some of the facts.

Enjoyed it much more on the second reading. Also I was not expecting an arching story--you know one with a Beginning, Middle and End. This time I read it more as a series of essays with the common theme of orchids. And as I’ve stated before I just love books that emphasize the weirdness that is South Florida and I think this book does that very well!
