What Members Thought

While dated, particularly with regard to language, Hemingway's To Have and Have Not cuts across race, class, ethnicity, and time. Harry Morgan's utterance, "No matter how, a man alone ain't got no...chance," captures the theme. I have a love/hate relationship with this book but, in the end, it's worth reading.
