I think it would be easy for an ESL student to read because the pictures help support any vocabulary gaps.
I don't know exactly how I feel about this book. It's a bit like an amazing photograph- amazing only because it's of something moving and not really the photographer's skill in capturing that. It is a unique and personal way to tell the too well known history...but it lacks punch. This book gives details of the Nazi genocide of Jewish people. Powerful.
