I love the idea that people can communicate with animals!
Very lovely story.
Very lovely story.
I just finished reading this first Dr. Dolittle story to my 5 1/2 year old grandson. He loved it. The story is cute and especially interesting to early school age children. BE ADVISED: there are some areas where obvious racism (by today's standards) remains in the story. I had to edit the reading in those areas on the fly.
