This book is Einstein's Dreams, but for the afterlife. (Oddly enough, both authors are professional scientists.) A bunch of very short stories (2-5 pages, usually) conceiving of different kinds of afterlives. It was a fun, very fast read, but I wished the stories hadn't been so samey in tone -- Unexpected Situation Resulting In Wry Melancholy At Unintended Consequences can only work so many times -- and I wish at least some of the stories had had more in the way of closeup detail rather than gen ...more
