I can't believe I'm going to say this, but...I loved it. I read the reviews, I read the spoilers, and I still loved it. The love story between Phury and Cormia is somewhat truncated and it's not really the focus of the book, but as part of the series arc, it's spectacular.
I can't help myself. I just can't give up the Brotherhood. This book set up so many fascinating threads that it's going to feel like a really long time until the next release. ...more

This was my least favorite so far in this series. Phury's inner 'Wizard' simply got on my nerves. It seemed like he was constantly waffling over what he wanted to do and should do, and in the end, I got bored. These warriors are strong, loving, and steadfast. They also show weakness in certain times, however, Phury was weak throughout this entire novel.

Probably my least favorite in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Phury is the most boring member of the brotherhood. That was made painstakingly obvious by paring him up with Cormia, the most boring female of the entire series. The side plots were more compelling than Phury and Cormia's romance.
