It took me awhile to get used to the writing style (alot of "telling" instead of "showing"), but it really picked up after the 30% mark. I read it because I liked the French film La Ceremonie ( ) that was based on this book. I think the film was better.

But really, I read on with great interest, because what would be a greater mystery than "who done it", is "why done it".
