Wow! If you loved "The Martian," I bet you would really love Project Hail Mary. I did everything I could just to get it read before it was due back at the library, including having multiple holds and checking it out from two different libraries and finally purchasing it because I know at least two others at my house will want to read this. I finished this audiobook that I was listening to with my husband. He gave it four stars but I am giving it three stars. I am not into nitty gritty details of scientific experiments. The overall story was decent. This book is about a middle school teacher that is voluntold to help scientists deal with an alien species that is slowly killing the sun. This book is absolutely awesome! It is absolutely my favorite book that I have read this year. Middle school science teacher, Ryland Grace, has been recruited to help save the earth from an alien microorganism that is eating the sun. When he awakens in a space ship, he can't remember who he is, where he is, or why.
