Don't pay attention to the star rating. This just wasn't the right book at the right time. It's sweet and tender and then my brain started hopping up and down screaming 'Sappy!!!'. I got really tired of all the walking on eggshells around David. I did not get how the MCs fell in lurve without barely having had any conversation (and it's supposed to be love, not lust). So many loved this I decided to give it one more try. It's official now, I don't like it.

Expected a simple story high on feels. Reality is paper thin characters with zero chemistry or feels.

The writing isn't great with constant pov switches, everyone gets a pov. It's distracting.

John is uninteresting and rather unpleasant. His even less pleasant girlfriend walks out the door and disappears. Jaime is a cute bubbly gay extra, ok for a fumble but nothing else to him. David is the ...more
