After loving Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams I had hoped to enjoy this book just as much. I did not. Not that this book isn't good, but that is it - only good - not great like Summer Wives. I can't really pinpoint why this book did not work for me as well as Summer Wives, it just didn't.
Alternating chapters (which I am getting pretty tired of!) between two women, one from 1924 and one from 1998. They are connected by the apartment in which they both lived and Ella, from 1998, begins a s ...more
