This was a book I could not fit in when it was published and was so popular. But I never forgot about it. I finally got to it. And...I really enjoyed it.
This book is about a group of high schoolers who end up with one of them as an accomplice to a murder, one of them murdered and one who grew up to be a detective investigating that very murder. I wish I could do half stars - this was really a 3.5.
It was an interesting read, one that kept me turning the pages. The surprises were quite as surprising as I'd thought they would be, but I did enjoy the story. The time while Geo was in prison were an interesting addition to the story. Her eventual release and heading back home felt realistic. I'm not sure I liked the chapters from Kai's POV but the story was eas ...more
