This is the authors second book and I have now read them both. What a great story!! To be honest I didn’t even need Eboni and Bern’s storyline! I could have read an entire book just on Josephine and Frederick. The two storylines definitely work. Like with the author’s first book, I don’t really see this as a mystery/thriller. I guess, by textbook definition it is, but again it downs matter. It’s such a great read! I can’t wait to see what Mr. Slocumb has in store for us next!
