Modern day so-called feminists have forgotten the true point of this movement and here the author states it quite clearly: Men and women are BOTH negatively impacted by rigid gender roles. Furthermore, society has gotten caught in a ridiculous, dangerous trap with one segment of society vilifying another in the hopes of elevating themselves. That may work short term, but the long term consequences are disastrous and is still a form of stereotyping, profiling, discrimination. Women are not elevated when we denigrate men by labeling them all as bad, evil, sexist, misogynistic, etc.
