I voted for Of Blood and Honey, because I've heard lots of good things about it, so this would be a great reason to finally read it. I read American Gods way back and remember liking it, but not as much as some of Gaiman's other works.

Ditto. Never heard of it, but the blurb sounded interesting.
Kevin actually makes a good point. I wasn't paying attention during the nominations. I don't think that Hobb book is the best place to start. People should be aware that, even though this is part 1 of a trilogy, that entire trilogy is part of a larger series including the Farseer books, the Liveship books and the Fool books. At the very least, you should probably have read the Liveship books, and ideally all three previous trilogies to get the full picture.

I wish I'd known that during nominations. Unfortunately, Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ just shows it as 1st of a trilogy and doesn't indicate in any way that it's part of a larger run. Argh!
Edit: spelling oopsie
Maybe some people will change their votes so it drops out of the top two. I'd rather not get stuck with a book that people who haven't read the rest of the series can't discuss.
If you enjoyed the Liveship series by Robin Hobb, you will love The Dragon Keeper - it's a continuation of the story and very good. The sequel to that is already out (Dragon Haven), and I'm looking forward to the end of the trilogy - hopefully coming soon!
I voted for The Stepsister Scheme, however, because a good friend of mine loves the series and keeps recommending them to me. Also, as a light, funny read, sounds like it would be good summer fare.
Just my $0.02 = )
