Very good. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this novel. The back blurb didnt really grab. It made the story seem silly. It easily could have been Very good. She's not the most likable character at first, but my tune changed by the end. The reading was easy so I kept going. I'm glad I did. The slow movement mirrored Maite's life at that time. Going through the motions, unhappy, but didn't have enough money to make changes. She lived in her fantasy world.
I immediately liked Elvis. I really enjoyed the switching between the POV of Maite and Elvis. Each chapter and each scene added a little bit more to the plot, building the intrigue and danger until it naturally sped up to a satisfying crescendo at the end....more
