I. . . quite honestly don't know how to rate this book.
On one hand, it was a brilliant representation of human nature, but on the other, it was rather depressing.
Definitely a memorable and relevant read, but it kind of bothered me how the whole book was basically hopeless. . . a downhill illustration of humans trying to create a paradise on earth and failing. I suppose this book is a warning, and one we should all take to heart—and perhaps read once or twice, too.
Though I must add, some parts DID make me laugh, which I suppose is kind of unexpected, but it IS supposed to be "savage comedy." Or maybe it's just my dark sense of humor. *shrugs* XD
(view spoiler)[ I also find it ironic that every single rule the animals made in the BEGINNING was broken at the end. Like, every single one of them. Talk about foreshadowing there. XD (hide spoiler)]
At the very least, it's another book I've been meaning to read checked off my book list.
4/5 stars (I honestly don't know about this one)...more
