Even though the story is relatively brief, meaning that even I could finish it in an afternoon, it HAS ALL THE FEELS! I laughed and swooned and had leaky eyes for most of the book. It was so sweet and was the story I had no idea that I needed until I read it.
My recommendation is to read the full length book in this series and then treat yourself to this gift at the end. You will love seeing the characters from those stories make their appearances here. It's just the best!

(Mischief for Christmas) The other is the first in this series. (A Flower for Mr. Wynters) I think it is helpful to have read those other books because I think this story is taking place at the same time as those. Both of those couples get together in this book. Even though I had read the two previous books, I was getting confused with those storylines. Maybe it would have been easier if I had binged them back to back. I can appreciate the author's intent with including them here though as well.
This is a long book. It took me much longer than usual to read it. Partly because of a busy time in life, partly because of an injury that made finding a comfortable reading position difficult and partly because the story was so long. Sometimes it seemed like too much was going on. There are 4 engagements in this book!
I did enjoy the story. It is not your traditional Regency romance though. It has elements of romcom and propriety is often not adhered to. It makes for an entertaining book but probably not historically accurate for those that are concerned about those things.

That series follows a set of friends and this one is connected to that because the main female character is the sister of the main female character in Betting on the Brainiac. I am glad that I had read that book prior to this one. It helped define some of the family dynamics that are present in this story. When I started this book, I didn't realize that is had deep connections to the previously mentioned book. That's one reason I wanted to mention that at the beginning of this review.
Now on to the book...
I really, really liked Micah and Kaitlyn. I loved their history and how they both overcame the challenges that presented themselves over the years. I'll admit that I had a hard time visualizing much of the gala, but I just don't read that way. For those of you that do have the imagination to picture what is being described, I think you're in for a huge treat with this one!
Thanks to the author, I was able to read an advanced digital copy of this book. I am happy to leave an honest review. In the final book, I believe there will be some author notes regarding bi polar disorder. I would like to see what the author says about that....more

But reading the others will add to the experience since some of those characters appear in this book. The 5th book, Lady Ivy and the Irishman, would definitely add much since that is where these 2 main characters first meet.
I just love this whole series by Sally Britton. She's created a world of love and loyalty for friends and family of the Duke of Montfort. The sweet stories are just the escape I need when real life's challenges weigh me down.
In the past I've said that I'd like to read stories about servants and upper classes. Not that I want inappropriate behavior, but sometimes a mistaken identity happens or other extenuating events occur. Such is the case here. And I loved it! I liked that Juniper had some fire to her and wasn't afraid to scorch what was in her pathway. And Sterling, that protective hero, always so concerned about those he loves.

For the most part I enjoyed this book, especially the unique premise of the connection made over a fictional book series. I didn't quite understand all of the references to the fantasy series that is featured in the story, but that didn't detract from my being able to follow along.
While this is labeled as a Christmas book, I think it could be read any time.

I have only read this book so far, but from what I can tell, each book revolves around a different friend. It is recommended for greatest enjoyment, to read them in order. This being the second book in the series, and the first I've read, I don't feel that I really was missing anything by not having read the first one. Perhaps some side plot but nothing major.
If you like multiple romances in one story, this book is for you! There is love happening everywhere you turn. It's a nice story of matchmakers and realists coming together for a houseparty.
I'd recommend not reading the blurb. There's a bit of a spoiler for deeper into the story than I like to know. I'm glad I didn't know what was coming. I only read the blurb after I'd finished the book.

DO NOT READ THE BLURB! Unless you don't mind being spoiled. Most things in the blurb don't take place until half way through the book and then some until more than 90 percent through it! I don't usually read blurbs, but somehow I accidentally glanced at this one when I was 20 percent in and couldn't believe it. Now that being said...
This is a great book! (Especially if you don't know what's going to happen!)
This is the first book in a new series that is a spin off of the Love in Paradise Valley series. While it is fun to know the history Britta has and who her family is, those things aren't necessary to enjoy this book.
There are some heavy topics discussed, especially dealing with grief from losing a parent. But that is balanced well with more light hearted moments and tender story lines.
I am really going to need a audiobook of this one though! I need Dex's Australian accent. The surfing details were interesting to this complete surfing novice.

But for those of you that have read the other books or the connected Apple Valley series, Three finally gets his own book! (And if you read the author's notes, it has really been a long time coming!) It was worth the wait though.
This is a fun story of lost and regained love. We have some flashback diary entries to help get a well rounded picture of what Sara and Three have gone through. There are laugh out loud and hold your breath moments all leading to a wonderful happy ending!

One of the things I enjoy about the Anne Kemp books I have read, and that includes this one, is that they are not too long and are easy reads. I can finish them in just a day or two and have felt entertained.
This one had appealing characters with their own challenges to face. The first half to two thirds was very enjoyable. I almost felt that a switched flipped after 1 event and the ending was hurried or something. Maybe I just wanted to see the behind the scenes a little more. I still enjoyed it, but I did feel like I missed out on part of the progress toward resolution, if that makes sense.

SheThis is the first book in a new series by Teah Kemp Weight. I just loved her previous series and was very much looking forward to reading this one.
She did another fantastic job with creating characters and a world that draw you in. Melior was not a very likable character in the beginning. She was selfish, although as the story progresses the reader comes to understand more about her personality and why she is the way she is. She has a growth of character for sure. I just have a hard time if I don't connect with the main characters at the beginning of a story. And I wasn't sure how to pronounce her name. I don't like that either. LOL
But Nathaniel is a dear! I loved him. I felt he deserved much better than Melior, but he loved her and has to be respected for that.
Honestly, my issues with the book are actually a testament to the author's ability to write diverse characters. I enjoyed the plot of this book and look forward to reading more in this series.

You can read the blurb to find out the plot if you want to. I'm just here to say I highly recommend this series. Especially if you like your romcoms with some snark and adventure. I wouldn't exactly call it suspense or mystery. It's light hearted and fun with romance and more.

This is the final book in the Love Trippin series that mostly takes place on Marbella Island. It contains a standalone story, but it does include appearances by characters from previous books. The main characters in this book are introduced in some of those others as well.
Thai was my favorite book set on the island. I loved these characters, especially Stevens! I've been waiting a long time for Savannah Scott to write another brainy male lead.
The online/hidden identity aspect of the plot was fun. The humor was top notch. I found myself laughing often, and I don't do that in all romcoms. The intellectual aspect of this story drew me in.

Rock Engle is thr male narrator. I don't mind listening to him read, but he is starting to make all the characters he reads sound the same. He gives them all the same inflections. I did listen at a faster speed than usual because I'd read the book already.
I just finished and am going to try to type a review while all the feelings are still flowing! Loved this book from cover to cover, plus some... READ THAT BONUS SCENE!
I've been a big fan of Emma St Clair's books for years. This one may just become my favorite. I loved the family/sibling aspect. It definitely reminded me of my 2 sisters and brother. I know which one of us would correspond to those in this story too!
Emma keeps throwing things at us from all different directions. It's so fun, I as long it isn't you getting the black eye! Sit back and enjoy this ride.
This is part of the Appies series of books but can be read as a standalone story. They are all so good though, and it's fun seeing Van the Bad Boy in the pervious books before finding out about his layers in this one. I also enjoyed seeing the team members and their interactions again. Love this group! And you don't need to know anything about hockey or Jane Austin to enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed reading Ava and Jett's second chance romance, and I'm not a huge fan of second change stories. This one was well done and struck me differently I guess.
There are some different plot lines playing out here, and I found them to be captivating. I was busy while reading this book found myself looking forward to the time in the evening when I could relax and pick it back up. I was invested in how things worked themselves out.

There is just something about this series that keeps me wanting more. And I am so glad to hear that this isn't the final book in the series after all! It is the first book I have read in that series, but not my first book by Laura Beers. I'd listened to some of a different series of hers that had Spies set in the Regency time period. I had no idea going into this one that spies were involved. From the context of this story, I'm assuming the series contains quite a bit about spies.
I did enjoy the concept of the story and the plot. I like some intrigue to go along with my romance. Dual spies was a nice touch to this story.
The weakest part for me is the dialog. In the previous series, I thought it may have been the narrator, since I listened to those books. But I read this one and had the same feeling. I was also not a fan of the plot line involving a mistress.

We have Ivy and Teague capturing the spotlight. Their romance has its ups and downs and laughs. I can't get enough! And I must listen to this when it comes out in audio format. I need to hear Teague's Irish rogue!
