So, I’m at my business partner’s birthday party, right?
Everything's great.
Beautiful day, good food, cold beer.
At some point during the evening, I find a piece of paper on the floor and pick it up to throw it away but notice it’s an ultrasound picture. So, of course, I go to congratulate my partner and his wife on their pregnancy which somehow causes a pandemonium between the couple and their guests.
Lo and behold, they’re not pregnant.
The baby isn’t theirs…it’s mine.

Sounds fun right?

Lemme tell you from experience...though I’ve done nothing but think about the amazing one-night-stand I had two months ago, knocking up the best gal pal of my partner’s wife, 11/10 would not recommend.

I read this entire book in a day. Honestly, I started it and after the first few chapters I came VERY close to putting it down and not continuing. The only reason for this is because (and this is just me) I don't love books that are written in third person. Now, that being said....I'm very glad that I kept reading!

Likes: Conversation points (ALL OF THEM!) between Ian and Kate were fantastic. I found myself smiling almost every time because the banter between them was realistic and humorous. I sometimes WISH I had that kind of wit and humor in my own writing.

Dislikes: The ONLY thing about this book that in my opinion would've made it BETTER was that it's not told in a first person point of view. I try not to make a habit of giving every book I read a five star rating and wasn't sure about this one as it started. I was drawn to the story but the content of this story wasn't something I could identify with. Man....was I wrong though! Didn't matter that I didn't identify! The story alone, the thoughts of each character and the buildup of their back stories is incredible! And that one scene.....OH MY GOD! I've never ever read anything as raw and as exciting and as arousing as that! I thin I blushed the entire way through! Well done!!!!

Definitely a book with a message worth reading. I enjoyed the "what if" factor but I'm also someone who likes to reflect on life in that way. That being said, I felt like the beginning few chapters were a tiny bit confusing in that I was trying to keep track of four different characters and how they all related to each other.
Once I was halfway through the book I had a feeling I could semi predict what would happen and I was right but that doesn't mean I didn't still love it. I don't mind somewhat predictable stories because there is always a factor I wasn't prepared for. This book brought tears to my eyes! And yes I would and have already recommended it to anyone!!!
