Good Book. I enjoyed the fantastical mixed in with the historical story. The author took true to life characters and placed them into a fascinating mystery. I loved the magic system that added further conflict in his life. The only weak point that I saw was that I wish the main character should have taken out his enemies when he had the chance, that always comes back to bite ya in the butt later.

It annoys the crap out of me, when the good guy has to take the high road and refuses to defend himself if it means killing the bad guy who everyone know wouldn't bat an eye to kill him.

I really liked this book. Without giving away any spoilers, there were some parts of the book that had me completely engulfed. I loved how the book is broken into smaller individual stories that each give a piece of the bigger picture. This might be one of the rare books that I could read a second time.

I was disappointed with this book. I felt like Christopher Paolini only wrote it to finish out the series. I bored through most of it, got so tired of reading about Roran and overall thought it had a different feel than the other books. I struggled though it to say that I finished the series.
