Each of the books can be read as a standalone, but reading the series definitely is more enjoyable! this story starts out with the day before the wedding of Raj and Misty Dawn. the Nightshade God completes the Nightshade Crows Trilogy. This book picks up where the Hemlock Queen left off. The story may seem a bit slow, but it's because of how all of the loose ends are being nicely wrapped up. There were unexpected alliances as well as the prevailing question of how the situation with the gods was going to be resolved. The ending was very unexpected but clever and beautifully ended the book.

This amazing story is Merrill and Katla's story. Katla was introduced in the Dragon Kings series in Dragon Born, which is another exceptional story in this series. Dragon Marked can be read as standalone, but to really comprehend the depth of Katla's backstory, I would highly recommend also reading Dragon Born. this love story between the King of Orange dragons and Katla, who is more than she originally seemed in Dragon Born, was beautiful, sad and joyous at the same time. Questions about "the entity" are answered and new ones arise. These little hints dropped in the story guaranteed I'll be reading the next book. Highly recommend this unique story!

Things in Misty Hollow are bad.

Unfortunately, Fox Aspen, otherwise known as Prince Reynard of the Autumn Court, was nearly fatally wounded by Swamp Thing. In his weakened state, the only portal he could open was to Winter.

Shadow Wars is trademark Sherrilyn Kenyon writing, but with a Japanese twist. Enjoyed the world building in this novel, good versus evil, and interesting view into samurai. I loved the frequent references to family and that family is not only by blood but those that support and stand by you. The book ended in a way that it was obvious there was more to come, but it did not leave a cliffhanger which I appreciated. Looking forward to Ryuichi's next step in his adventure!

This story was my favorite American in Paris Mystery book to date. I loved learning the background of haute couture, which just made the mystery even more enjoyable on top of the food comments made by Julia Childs during the story! Book 2 in the Elven Kingdoms series proved to be just as engrossing as book 1. Arya finds out there is a bounty on her head. What she doesn't expect is that her former love, Jai, is the one to capture her. However, all is not as it seems, and as secrets are unveiled and new hints dropped, this book becomes a page turned until the very end. While this book can be read by itself, I highly recommend reading the first one, Rising Sun, to get the full background of Shaldorn and why Arya is being hunted. The significance of some of the characters that appear in this story will make more sense if the first in the series is read. Overall enjoyable story.

Very cute follow up to alpacas and alibis. In this story, Marcia, an abused wife, seeks assistance from Sadie and her friends to escape town. Shortly after she does, her husband is found murdered. This story has many entertaining moments. I love the various names that were given to the show dogs in the story.

Wow! This much anticipated finale in the Stealing Infinity series has me on edge the entire time. I was so anxious to see how all of the nuances played out and wrapped up. The world building in a story that is a bit like Oliver Twist but more robust was phenomenal. The wrap up in this book was well done as well as very surprising. Be sure to read the entire trilogy to get the best experience out of the series!
