I've been writing a while now. More than twenty years now. There are times I think I know everything and times, like when I read Writer's Secret Weapon: Reference Guide, that I realize just how much I don't know and how much more I can learn. Co-authors McCray and Thomson present hands-on writing tools in a fresh way that kept my attention (no skimming like with a lot of reference books I've read) and, most importantly, gave me something to think about. I will return to this reference guide again and again to pluck another gem.

This is definitely one of my favorite books by Marina Myles. For starters, I love time travels. Secondly, she does an excellent job of world building. Thirdly, I really enjoyed how the romance escalated between the two characters despite them being apart (sort of - I won't give too much away) for the first part of the book. This was tricky, and she accomplished it well. Nice take of the old fairy tale.
