it was amazing
bookshelves: own-the-book

Another stunning trilogy by Robin Hobb. How I loved the characters! They are so vivid and real. Althea and Brashen are to fall in love with. Im no big fan of pirate tales, but Robin Hobb just enthralls me. I just had the best start of the morning by finishing this book. Woke up before 8 am ( on a day off .....) Decided to read the last few pages ( fell asleep last night on the couch ) and there were cookies next to me....healthy start of the day!

Im still convinced everyone should just read Robin Hobb. There isnt much to review it all speaks to its fantastic self.

Petrik Great review Mili! I think I'm going to start Robin Hobb in 2018 though. I will be doing a marathon of her 16 books XD

Mili Haha Thanks Petrik. Sounds like an epic plan! Have you done such a similar thing before? Im always afraid when I read too much of the same series after one another I might get bored ( so I stuff short reads by other authors inbetween longer series ).

I haven't! The most I did were a trilogy only. Soon i'll try Riyria which consist of 6 books and we'll see if I could do it or not XD

Inserting some short read between longer series is great though, made the return to the series much savorable too!

Mili Ohh nice, planning to read that series as well this year, Starting first with Lightbringer haha. Im still looking for the 6 books set from Riyria. Dont like the bundled 2 in 1. Ugly cover <_<

haha not gonna lie, Riyria bundle cover are so ugly. Why do they have to stand looking at us like that? The 2nd cover is good, the 1st and 3rd one is not. Even the author said he doesn't like the cover cause it doesn't fit his imagination of Royce and Hadrian

Sade glad to know the epicness still continues. read the farseer trilogy earlier this year and i loved them.

Mili Petrik, I never checked how the whole cover choosing goes. But authors dont have a say in it? Man Id hate that, everyone has their own taste and its like the final important touch to your work...

Sade, yeah that trilogy is neat! I read farseer and tawny man in that order and after that decided on liveship. Rainwild is next~

Craig, shes one of my favs! Still got Rainwild and fitz and the fool to go :) well and the short stories..

Emma I'm a complete Robin Hobb fan girl! Do go on to the Rainwild Chronicles. I loved them too!

Mili Really looking forward to Rainwild Emma. More dragons!

Emma I've read the first in the Fitz and Fool trilogy but am stockpiling the second until closer to the release date for the third! Has anyone read any of her Meghan Lindhorn stuff! ( I think that's the name!)

message 12: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma The Rainwild chronicles are the very best stories about dragons I've ever read!

Mili Craig, Im counting on loving the raindwild heheh! Plan to do the same as you, wait the series out. Got some others planned anyway which will take plenty of my time as well.

Emma - I have one of the Lindholm books, havent read it though. Bought it from a second hand bookstore and loved the cover so much! Its translated in dutch, but I prefer reading in english. Displayed it in the hall for being pretty xD

Mili Hahaha, horrible I know xD I keep prioritizing through goodreads. But goodreads isnt always right...so glad to meet/ add new people through others who help me sort it out =P

Btw, I tried to look up what I missed by first reading tawny man and then liveship....and just to summarize Amber...Paragons new face...grr I feel like I should reread tawny man. Its not like I can exactly remember what Ive read. By now I only remember it was epic...

message 15: by Mili (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mili Yes thats exactly what Ive figured out, which gave me the feeling that I might be missing out on more clues xD since these are the most obvious ones..

message 16: by Mili (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mili Haha, yeah Im back on track. I think Ill read some summaries of tawny man before I start. Just to make sure.
