The Trouble with Whatchamacallits

I was given a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Poor Toab! Harassed relentlessly by the seemingly merciless Watchamacallits, he calls on his human friends, Mark and Julie, and their dog, Champ, for help. They help Toab in various ways, and at last, Mark, Julie, and Champ seek out the mean Watchamacallits and confront them directly, only to learn something surprising from their side of things!
Aside from a few awkward wording choices, for example, "Said Mark: "I don't know anyone who's..." instead of the tag following the line of dialogue, the story was really fun, and children, the target audience, probably wouldn't mind such things so much. The story is cute, and the illustrations are really fun and add to the story. I liked the message that first impressions aren't always right, and while someone may not seem very nice at first, often getting to know the person more honestly will help us see more to them than we first expected!
