Maria Even though I had seen the film so knew what the ending was I still found this book a gripping read. Again even though I knew the twist in the tale this did not detract from my involvement in the book, I still found the characters really believable and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller / mystery.

Maria Even though I had seen the film before having read this so knew the 'twist' in the tale I still found it gripping and very atmospheric. From the outset the book fills you with a sense of forboding that something very bad has or will happen . The way the characters interact in the book is well done. . and the storm raging throughout island just helpsto add to the tension. I think that even though I knew the twist this did not make it any less enjoyable but actually added to the reading as it added poieniancy (wrong spelling I know) The historical detail in the book was excellent and I was really drawn in to the story. A brilliant read
