I absolutely LOVED this book. I’m only upset that I hadn’t read it sooner. Before reading the book i thought it would mostly focus on the jersey turnpike accident but i was pleasantly surprised. All the background she provided us with from her early Life not only as a reader made me feel close to her. But also i feel like she did an amazing job of showing how racism had transformed over time. It was crazy reading how they continuously tried to railroad her in the court system. She was constantly put in situations where most would say she was in a losing battle yet she never stopped fighting! I can definitely see myself reading this book again❤️
