I don't generally leave negative reviews, but I just could not get past the idea that the main character had never had a job. Never. "I've never worked a day in my life," she states. HOW?? Whu-? H - Huhh? Not a part time job in high school or college? Seriously? Even Princess Eugenie has a freakin' job! Ok, so maybe our heroine is a fabulously wealthy trust fund baby, but - no interests she wants to pursue? Why did she bother going to college?? I have a pretty good ability to suspend disbelief: werewolves, sure, vampire sorority sisters, no problem, monarchs from made up European countries that somehow missed both world wars, why not? But -- I just -- a middle-aged divorced mother of two teenagers who gets a job at a coffee shop because she's...bored. I just can't care or sympathise with someone so bland.
