A classic by the incomparable Mark Twain. Tom Canty is a poor abused lad born on the same day as Prince Edward. The two trade places and spend time in the other's lives. Prince Edward is out in the world discovering how rough it really is. Tom is in the palace believed to be crazy.
The story and plot were great but I must admit that the language used was a little hard to follow at times. I was already familiar with the story due to the fact it IS a classic. I have memories of seeing a movie based on the novel at some time in my life. Anyway, like I said the story was great but the dated language just made it difficult to follow.
