Some heart-breaking events at this point, but I liked the allies of the game and how that moved the plot forward. I did feel like much of the book was redundant, having just finished The Hunger Games, but that is in part due to the games being an annual event. It did have a few surprises, but they were not as memorable to be in this second book of the series.
