With Our Backs to the Wall: Victory and Defeat in 1918

This book is written for an audience fascinated with WWI and who possess a sizeable appetite for detail and facts. Superbly researched, this was a hard book to read from cover to cover. I could see a college student referencing this book for a term paper. All the same, I learned a lot from reading this book and now have a more nuanced appreciation for the factors that led to the Armistice.
