It's a world that recently learned that vampires and werewolves exist. Bitten by a werewolf and afraid of the danger she now poses to her sister, Hayden must learn how her new reality works. And Ethan, the man who ended things with her three years earlier, is now part of that. When it becomes clear that someone's hunting Hayden, the two must figure out what's going on and how to keep Hayden, and her sister, safe.
The story is told in first person from Hayden's and Ethan’s viewpoints, roughly alternating, with some flashbacks, too, to round out the characters. I really enjoyed the snark between Hayden and Ethan. They clearly had been close and knew some aspects of each other well. It was great seeing them develop from what they had been previously. And their chemistry sizzled! The secondary characters were also interesting, with their own things going on, although I would have liked to learn more about Hayden's sister and her aunts through the course of the story.
This story is fun and entertaining, fast moving and with plenty going on to hold a reader's attention. It's a gripping thriller and second-chance romance - I didn't want to put it down until I found out how it turned out!
