I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did. It was witty, heartfelt, cheesy, and raw.
This opposites attract, ex-fiance’s brother romance highlights that everyone is deserving of love, regardless of who they are and despite their struggles with mental health. It feature a curvy FMC whose size is not a subplot which I appreciated; she is portrayed as a sexual being who receives romantic attention without mention of bodies or size.
This book also features a MC with depression and the caretaking and treatment paths towards a healthier life while dealing with mental health struggles.
There were so many sweet and romantic moments in this book that genuinely had my heart swelling and tears in my eyes (the bathtub scene iykyk).
There’s also a lot of character development for both the FMC and MMC, even secondary characters and Dade does a really great job of developing a believable romantic connection between the MCs.
The only note that I have is that I wish the chapters were a little shorter to make the story more digestible.
