Rarely does one find an anthology where every story is a homerun. Rarer still are cases where two author's voices blend flawlessly into one perfect creation. Well, We're Not Ourselves Today does just that, on both accounts. Each and every story in this anthology is a banger and Lydia Prime and Jill Girardi are so perfectly in tuned with one another, this book could have been written by one singular author. It's so refreshing when a book comes along and knocks it out of the park like this one has. There is horror, there is gore (plenty of it), there is suspense, and when needed, there is humor.
I have a few favorite stories, but do not want to influence the reader other than to say, if you buy one book this year, it should be this one.
