Coyote's Creed (Broken Mirrors, #1)

I really enjoyed this read. One of my favorite books is War for the Oaksand this is the first successive book I've read that pleasantly reminds me of that story where I was first introduced to phoukas (dogs). Here the Kitsune (foxes), Coyotes, and Phoukas live among us but humans are unable to see them for what they truly are.
Our protagonist finds out, when he turns 18, that he is half-Coyote. Throughout the story he discovers what powers he has, most of these being involved with trickery. His "uncle" guides him through this revelation and their relationship takes a, ahem...naughty twist.
His father, a full Coyote, has died and by going to his funeral, he is pulled into a war amongst the 3 tribes. A non-stop adventure ensues.
Urban fantasy at its best. I look forward to the sequels.
