Wifedom: Mrs. Orwell's Invisible Life

I'm calling this a work of 'faction', but "Wifedom" is a blend of a number of genres, including biography with elements of autobiography/memoir.
Anna funder's research is meticulous - check out her many sources in the back matter - and she weaves it through the reveal of the marriage of two wonderful literary minds - Eileen and Eric Blair, otherwise known as George Orwell.
This book drew a great deal of discussion in my book club, both about the book, and about what makes a marriage then and now.
Highly recommended, but be prepared to feel angry again and again as you read.
