it was amazing
bookshelves: children, historical-fiction

It was dreary, cold and raining this morning. I didn't want to go out, so I made a cup of hot cocoa, snuggled under a throw in my favorite reading chair and re-read Treasure Island.

It simply doesn't get much better than that.

Beth Bernobich I have an old, old copy. A Reader's Digest version, no less, that is part of twelve volumes of classics my aunt gave me when I was a kid. I loved it, but I clearly need to get the complete edition.

Darlene I was pleased with how quickly the action moved. There was an interesting essay in my (uncut) edition on how Stevenson moved 19th C. novels into a more modern framework.
