** spoiler alert **
I was forced to give this one 4 starts. In fact, if I didn't love the series so much and if the whole book wasn't so good, save the ending, I would've given it less starts. I'm sorry, really am as a huge fan of the book, but I hated the ending. I hated it. Can't help it. I'm glad V is happy and all but a ghost?? A frikkin' ghost??!! V was like one of my very favourite, I was looking forward to his story, the way he flirts with Butch and all, I wanted to love this book, and I did too, up until the end where he gets to have his girl back, as a frikkin' ghost!!! Damn.
Other than that very annoying detail, call me a romantic, call me stupid classic-happy-ending-lover whatever, I did love the book though. I loved to find out about V's background, which was very sad, a tortured past like Zsadist and it made me feel for the guy, not that I didn't before ;)
The whole V/Butch flirting was clearly addressed by the brothers as well, and I have to admit I found the part with V telling Butch he "totally wanted to have sex with him" very, very hot. And I was glad to read about Butch's explanation for V's feelings towards him, finally having someone in his life to care about and confusing those feelings with romantic ones. It was understandable.
I loved V. Always did, still do, hate that stupid mother of his, no matter what she sacrificed for him, don't care, hate her. And I thought she was supposed to be the equivalent of god in their world, with powers beyond imagining, and she goes and poofs her own's son's lover and then she does a little sacrifice, God knows to what/when/where/how, and brings her back a frikkin' ghost? Yeah. HATE HER.
I loved Phury. That man/male is HOT. I always felt for him for his feeling towards Bella, was sorry for him and did want him to be happy and all, but this book he was hot. I mean hot hot hot. And I liked Cormia too. I think she'd be good mate for him. When he woke up on top of her, I was Cormia in my head and let me tell you, it felt good ;) And now, can't wait to start that book, even though I hear a lot of people were disappointed with it.
Overall, loved the book, hated the end for the girl. and Hate the Scribe not-so-Virgin.
*edit- can't help but go back and give the book five starts. It's all for my love for V.

Quotes Gokce G Liked

“You so need to lighten up about that potato-launcher incident," Butch said.
Phury rolled his eyes and eased back in the banquette. "You broke my window."
"Of course we did. V and I were aiming for it."
"Twice."
"Thus proving that he and I are outstanding marksmen.”
