I think it would be a good idea to have a month where we read group reads that we never got around to. A kind of catch up month. What do you think?

That's a brilliant idea. There are loads I missed that I still really want to read. :-)

I like the idea of a catch up month - hopefully I can get The Night Circus converted so I can finally finish reading it on my kindle.
I might give one of the Stephen Kings a try as well as I skipped both if those - which one should I go for?

Sounds like a good idea. There are a couple I didn't get a chance to read, so it would give me a chance to catch up with those :)

Agreed. I have a few that I never got round to, I might opt for Gillespie and I :)

Aimee (smiley_laydee) | 92 comments Brilliant idea! Have so many I missed. Room, American gods and under the dome jump out at me on first look

Under the Dome I just couldn't get on with and I'm glad I didn't read anymore (I read over 100 pages) because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have liked the explanation for the dome. I read 11.22.63 and I think that will be my last King for a while.

I found the ending of Under the Dome a real let down. It completely ruined the book for me.

I think I'm going to either read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine #1) by Ransom Riggs or The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey . Possibly both if I get time.

message 16: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (dragonflymoon) Oh dear, I am way behind with my reading. I am still on March.

message 17: by Vicky (new)

Vicky | 30 comments Sounds good to me. I've been away from here for a bit as work has been full on and we are in the process of moving house so there is quite a bit I have missed. I think I will go for The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey as I picked it up the other day on offer in Sainsburys for 2.99!

You got a good deal there! I've had The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey on my bookshelf for a little while now, so I'm going to try and get around to reading it this month too. The original group read coincided with me getting my first job, so I missed that completely. I'm looking forward to it, though!

Hopefully you enjoy it. Let us know what you think about it as you're reading, or afterwards -- the threads from the group read are still open in the "Past Group Reads" section.

Karen | 120 comments I've read A Discovery of Witches and couldn't put the kindle down. Also read the 11/22/63 - again, a book I couldn't put down.

Karen, I loved A Discovery of Witches, did you see the 2nd book is now out in hardback?

I absolutely adored both A Discovery of Witches, and 11.22.63. They might be fairly recent releases, but they're already two of my all-time favourite books. I have the second book, Shadow of Night, on my TBR pile. I keep promising myself I'll get to it soon :)

Yep - waiting for it to drop in price a little more in the Kindle version, so it's on my watch list. From all the reports, it's just as good as the first one! *Starts dribbling at the thought!*
