Kristyn (kristyn007) Every time they mention Kings cross station, I think of Harry Potter. Wasn't that the station he went to?

Amanda Yup! And OMG Harry Potter World is the reason to go to Universal out here it is AMAZING!!!

Kristyn (kristyn007) We are going to Miami in June and I really want to make a trip to universal just to see Harry Potter World! I think we may. I have been wanting to go so bad!

Amanda Honestly I don't know that I might recommend waiting, they are working on an expansion, and I don't know if it is going to affect the area that is already. If you do decide to let me know and I'll scout it out for you.

Kristyn (kristyn007) I would love to go now but we already have a trip planned in the middle of June. We bought tickets to a concert for my daughters birthday and figured we would make a vacation out of it. Miami isn't very kid friendly so we were hoping to go to Orlando afterwards. I hope it's ok by then cause me and my kids have been dying to go toHarry potter world.

Amanda No matter what it'll still be awesome! It manages to feel wintry and amazing in 100 degrees with miserable humidity. I need to go back now that its nice out. Hogwarts itself is unbelievable, although if you are afraid of spiders close your eyes on the ride. Word to the wise DO NOT put a straw in your butterbeer!

Jennifer | 285 comments I am so jealous of all you for getting to live in interesting places. What I wouldn't give for a Green Card or American citizenship. I hate being stuck up here in the middle of nowhere.

Kristyn (kristyn007) I live in Mississippi. Not so interesting here. I would love to visit Canada though. I hear it is beautiful.

Jennifer | 285 comments I actually haven't been to Mississippi yet, but I am sure it's lovely. I have been to lots of other states though and can't wait to visit more.

Jennifer | 285 comments I am so far behind all of you. I am so sorry for not participating in the discussion. I am currently on Chapter Seventeen and I have to say that I thought it very strange how casually Van Helsing asked Arthur if he could chop off dear Lucy's head. LOL. OK so now it is official, there are now a group of vampire slayers on the loose in London. Love it. This is a great book and I am a bit resentful that my enjoyment of it has been interrupted by my responsibilties. Blah.

Now the woman at the bookstore told me that Bram Stoker's nephew or great newphew wrote a sequel to this book. I have to find out what it is called.

Jennifer | 285 comments Well this is the sequel and it apparently has received a lot of negative reviews.
Dracula the Un-Dead by Dacre Stoker

Kristyn (kristyn007) Do t feel bad. I broke my glasses the night before last so I am reading very slow or not at all. I am almost done with it but I just can't see to read!

Jennifer | 285 comments That's awful. I hope you get them fixed or replaced soon because it must be awful not to be able to see.

Kristyn (kristyn007) My vision isn't that bad so it's not like I am running into things. I just have a really bad astigmatism which makes it hard for my eyes to focus and everything looks a little blurry so when I try to read it is just bothersome.

Amanda All you need is to get your Rx from your eye doctor and you can get glasses for like 12 bucks including shipping!! I love this site, when my dog ate my glasses it wasn't a big deal!

Kristyn (kristyn007) You are awesome! I just ordered 2 pair for 29 dollars!

Catherine Crook I giggle with the mention of King's Crossing. And OH man, I want to go to Harry POtter World. Everytime I see a commerical, I geek out! I hate being so behind in the conversation.

1) I adore Canada. Well, the half I have seen. And once I get my butt back in school, and finish - my Dad is taking me to the Eastern half. I am super jealous of Malakai and my Dad going to Canada this summer!

2) This book is getting crazy! I love when Van Helsing talks about the nosgeratu. My favorite thing about all the different vamp/paranormal books I read is everyones takes on the myths.

3) I remember that book coming out, the red Dracula book. If I remember correctly, it didn't sell too well. At least not at our store. Man, I miss our store.

Kristyn (kristyn007) I remember it coming out too. I miss lay down days. My favorite thing was Tuesday mornings and setting tables. I loved that I knew where every new book was in the store. I remember thinking I wanted to read it but I had never read Dracula.

Jennifer | 285 comments Did Borders close? I love book stores.

Kristyn (kristyn007) Yes, it went out of business a little over a year ago.

Jennifer | 285 comments I knew that it was struggling. Bookstores are the best. I hate to hear of any going out of business.

"The world seems full of good men - even if there ARE monsters in it." Mina Harker's diary, Sep 29.

Somehow that really struck me. It's very hopeful. Even though she's talking about monsters in the classical demonic sense, the idea that there are good men in the world, even in the midst of terrors and chaos we face, is very hopeful and encouraging. I know that's something pretty random to draw from this book but it struck me today somehow.
