Now the woman at the bookstore told me that Bram Stoker's nephew or great newphew wrote a sequel to this book. I have to find out what it is called.

1) I adore Canada. Well, the half I have seen. And once I get my butt back in school, and finish - my Dad is taking me to the Eastern half. I am super jealous of Malakai and my Dad going to Canada this summer!
2) This book is getting crazy! I love when Van Helsing talks about the nosgeratu. My favorite thing about all the different vamp/paranormal books I read is everyones takes on the myths.
3) I remember that book coming out, the red Dracula book. If I remember correctly, it didn't sell too well. At least not at our store. Man, I miss our store.

"The world seems full of good men - even if there ARE monsters in it." Mina Harker's diary, Sep 29.
Somehow that really struck me. It's very hopeful. Even though she's talking about monsters in the classical demonic sense, the idea that there are good men in the world, even in the midst of terrors and chaos we face, is very hopeful and encouraging. I know that's something pretty random to draw from this book but it struck me today somehow.
