Sara | 860 comments I finished Angel's Ink (The Asylum's Tales, #1) by Jocelynn Drake and have started Dead Man's Deal (The Asylum Tales, #2) by Jocelynn Drake . I enjoyed Angel's Ink - my only complaint was the plot was a little too busy. I think a few of the subplots could have waited until the next book.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) its taking me forever to read Ice Forged by Gail Z. Martin so I might put it down for a bit and get a head start on Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman before it has to go back to the library.

Sara | 860 comments I finished The Blue Blazes (Mookie Pearl, #1) by Chuck Wendig . The book has a very slow build but picks up in the middle. It has a very gritty atmosphere with several nightmare-inducing creatures. Roach-rats! I'm off to finish Dead Man's Deal (The Asylum Tales, #2) by Jocelynn Drake .

It really was!! I mean it killed people then ate them..our heroine was much braver than I. LOL

Sara | 860 comments I finished Dead Man's Deal (The Asylum Tales, #2) by Jocelynn Drake , The Asylum Interviews Bronx (The Asylum Tales, #0.5) by Jocelynn Drake , and The Asylum Interviews Trixie (The Asylum Tales, #0.6) by Jocelynn Drake . I enjoyed all three books. I am starting The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa .

message 760: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I'm reading Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh Loving it so far. Unfortunately the kids are out of school for the summer so I have the whole parenting thing getting in the way of my reading. lol

Alisa I finished Storm's Heart (Elder Races, #2) by Thea Harrison yesterday and I really liked it. I liked the story and I liked the way she made Tiago a tough alpha but still very different from Dragos. My one complaint was how many times she described his "hawkish face". This kind of stuff doesn't ususally bother me but this was ridiculous. Yes Thea Harrison I get that he's a big bird shifter & he looks hawkish. You don't have to remind me every other page.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I finished Changeling Moon (Changeling, #1) by Dani Harper and it surprised me that I liked it so much. I think it was the fact the hero is a vet.

message 763: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4718 comments Finished Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, #9) by Charlaine Harris yesterday, I liked it but probably not as much as the one before. Though Eric was hawt.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Also finished The Bite That Binds (Deep In Your Veins, #2) by Suzanne Wright which was also good...cute too.

Now reading The Prophet (Graveyard Queen, #3) by Amanda Stevens Ascension (Cherchez Pack, #1) by Lauren Dane The Lady of the Storm (The Elven Lords, #2) by Kathryne Kennedy Fortune's Fool (Five Hundred Kingdoms, #3) by Mercedes Lackey

message 767: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments Finished No Mercy (Dark-Hunter, #19; Were-Hunter, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . I liked it - it's the first Dark-Hunter book I've read so I was confused at times but I liked the characters.

I can imagine things were really confusing. I think this is one of those series that is best read in order because the world builds with each plot. The exception is the first book Fantasy Lover because it really has nothing to do with the world.

message 769: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4718 comments Definitely better if you read them in order. Sadly, I've read about 8 or so, from all over the place and it wasn't the best strategy.

I've started Death Magic (World of the Lupi, #8) by Eileen Wilks and the world is heading for disaster!

message 770: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments I need to read them in order. I'm reading Bad Moon Rising (Dark-Hunter, #18; Were-Hunter, #5; Hellchaser, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon next because I have the book but after that I'm starting from the beginning.

message 771: by Mike (new)

Mike | 353 comments Finished Night Myst (Indigo Court, #1) by Yasmine Galenorn and The Curse Merchant by J.P. Sloan . I really enjoyed both books but I did like the Curse Merchant a little bit more. It's very much in the vein of Harry Dresden or Jesse Dawson. Started Beautiful Redemption (Caster Chronicles, #4) by Kami Garcia and Promise You won't Tell? by John Locke both of these are awesome so far. And slowly making my way through A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving

message 772: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) Finished Discount Armageddon (InCryptid, #1) by Seanan McGuire and grabbed Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning again. I'm determined to end the infamous fever series today no matter what!

message 773: by Lauren (new)

Someone just gave me Tiger Magic. Does this series need to be read in order or can I read that alone?

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments Alisa wrote: "Someone just gave me Tiger Magic. Does this series need to be read in order or can I read that alone?"

For this book I would the series, only because Tiger is an unusual person and you really need his back story.

I also think the shifters in the book have a different take than most books out there. Plus the series is a good one to read.

How is Heart of Obsidian? I am waiting for the paperback. I did however purchase Tiger Magic and I cannot wait I just love those stories.
Oh and let me know about Tempest Reborn, I am not sure I want to buy it I think i may have to wait on the library.

I agree Anna ;) Generally I don't like the triangle but it sorta works here cause she's half wolf half vamp.

Darcy wrote: "What did you think of it?"

I liked it. The wrap-up of the plot at the end was a bit busy/abrupt. The characters are very enjoyable. Rio is a great heroine - funny, brave but smart enough to know her limitations. Luke is the male lead of the book - he's a blast - he'd get along very well with Harry Dresden. The supporting characters - Kit, Abernathy, Miro, etc - all fun. Bordertown itself has a lot of potential as a setting. I will definitely be continuing this series.

I was just thinking about doing a re-read of this series. I've noticed a lot of people reading the first few and it's been a long time since I've read them. Plus Kane's book will be out soon (although I have a bad, bad feeling about this book).
