How is your kid? This flu or whatever seems to be affecting everyone.
I am on [book:Immortal Rider|9868970] do you see the characters from the Demonica series still??

Alisa My poor girl (age 5) threw up from 10am to 3am & has a horrible fever. She's just miserable :(
Thx for asking. I haven't read the Demonica series but there a lot of demon characters & references to a demon hospital where they all work. Plus the people from the Aegis who I get the impression were in her other books. There are a lot of interactions w/these characters & Wraith does some missions w/the horsemen. I have previously avoided the Demonica series as I wasn't sure I could get into "good" demons. I really like the Lords of Deliverance though so I'm going to try the other.

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) | 50 comments Ugh, that sounds like a bad bout of flu. Hope she's feeling better today.

Finished Confessions of a D-List Supervillain. These superhero books are way outside my usual genre, but it was good for that sort of thing. I think it could have used more humor, but I did smile a few times at the sarcasm so I can't really complain.

message 105: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Forward (zforward) | 4 comments I'm finishing Chris FarnsworthRed, White, and Blood.

message 106: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Bolen (jadeaaustin) How did you like Rosemary and Rue, Gin? Got a couple of Kindle free reads that I'm reading right now. Embracing Silence by N.J. Walters, Feather Down by Lorie O'Clare, Her Dark Angel by Felicity Heaton, and The Devil's Daughter by Laura Drewry.

message 107: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I finished Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #4) by Larissa Ione last night. Loved it. Not sure what I'm going to read next.

I finished both Uniquely Unwelcome by Brandy Nacole and Blood Burdens by Brandy Nacole . They were both really entertaining and truly unique. i enjoyed both of them. There were a few mistakes, but the story was good!

I think I'm going to read either Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning or Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer , depends on how I feel after I make dinner!

Just deciding what to read today, possibly Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day or Cold Sight (Extrasensory Agents, #1) by Leslie Parrish

Poor pumpkin I hope she feels better soon!
I tend not to think of the demons as demons but like other world creatures (i.e. vamps shifters and so forth) but I know what you mean.

I will say that I read them a long time ago, a time when I would finish every book I started and felt compelled to read everything in a series I started.

Now a days there are just too many books to waste time with duds.

*shakes head*

Sandra | 4718 comments Can you pick something else instead, Sonia?

message 121: by Sonia (last edited Jan 21, 2013 03:59AM) (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) I could... but I also want to finish the fever series... I know what the problem is... the Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning 's ending. It let me so... unhappy... that I cringe every time I think of starting the next one :(

message 122: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4718 comments Well, I couldn't get into the series at all, so I'm the wrong person to advise :D

message 123: by Sonia (last edited Jan 21, 2013 04:13AM) (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) I didn't like Mac on the first book... but everybody keep telling me that she grows and changes, so I gave the series another chance and read books 2 and 3 in a row... till the end of the third... seriously, one AM and I couldn't sleep because I was so disturbed... wait a minute... it's the book 3 curse... I didn't realize it till now... Book 3 from the Aisling Grey Guardian series had me kicking and screaming at the end. Book 3 from Georgina Kincaid series the same. Book 3 from the Vampire Academy series had me crying and sobbing and calling Dimitri's name for almost an hour (sad and lame, I know, but that's me)... even book 3 from Dresden Files had me leaving the series on pause... now it all make sense, doesn't motivate me to read the next one though... that's too bad :o)

A serious problem indeed!!!!

So you need 2 book series or if a trilogy it won't matter if you run around screaming mad, cause there aren't any more books for you to not read :DDDD

LOL

True.

Although I didn't suffer from that evil with Kate Daniels or Mercy Thompson... or with Sookie Stackhouse hence I forgot about book 3 curse :o)

Alex Craft escaped too :o)

OH.. I just remembered... My next book to read from The Hollows series is the #3 *shudders*

Sonia (darktalynn) :o)

Anyway, I'm reading Stolen A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher and started Eighty Days Yellow (Eighty Days, #1) by Vina Jackson (this one as morbid curiosity), they aren't UF/PNR, so I usually don't refer those here, and I'm still in the middle of A Tale of Two Vampires (Dark Ones, #10) by Katie MacAlister that I forgot to pick it up after put it down the first time - it isn't bad... I read 100 pages during a 50 minute flight, but I had to stop to get out of the plane, and forgot it.

It is the first Dark One book that I ever did that... I'll have to take amends soon before the Moravian Council takes notice and decide to do something about it... don't want a hot-as-sin-uber-alpha-male-vampire knocking on my door.

You're safe w/book 3 of the Hollows but 4 & 5 will kick your bottom. Have box of kleenex at your side.

Alisa Last night I finished For Whom The Spell Tolls (Dulcie O'Neil, #6) by H.P. Mallory I actually just skimmed most of it. The last two books have been just dreadful. This was the last book in the series though so I felt like I had to finish it. I've given this author two tries now (this one & another series) & she is officially on my least favorite author EVER list. I'm not sure who I'm madder at. Her for such poor writing or me for continuing to keep reading. I then started Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne I had started that before & then got sidetracked. Going to finish it this time.

It's by Kim Harrison (who is our author of the month). It's UF & includes all kinds of creatures, vampires, witches, elfs, werewolves, etc. The first one is Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison Very good series. You should give it a try.

I thought that was who you meant. I've read at least the first. I wasn't sure though if you meant Amanda Hocking's series. Hollow something. Let me see...

Hollowland -- which I've also read and the first is usually free for Kindle and I think epub too.
