Alisa This thread will be for everyone to post general things about themselves, their lifes. Just an effort for us all to get to know each other better. Any topic is ok except for religion or politics.

message 2: by Alisa (new)

Alisa So do you do New Year's Resolutions or not? If so what are some of yours? I love the idea of a fresh start and a chance to set some goals in place. I find that I always get excited about it but if I'm being honest my follow through sucks.

message 3: by Alisa (new)

Alisa This morning I find myself doing a happy dance. The kids are going back to school. Yeah for me!! I love them to death but they were driving me nuts this break.

message 4: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) I woke up with the mother of all head colds and 3 exams coming up next week.

The universe loves to screw with you doesn't it?!

message 5: by Alisa (new)

Alisa It certainly does. I've had that head cold for almost two weeks now. It's a tough one. Mine's almost over but I had to get antibiotics to get thru it. Good luck on your exams.

Alisa I rarely watch televison but when I was sick recently I started watching Sons of Anarchy. Does anyone else watch this? I'm totally out of control. I have barely read in over a week. Just episode after episode of SOA. It's a darn good thing I never met a real life bike who looked like Jax or I would be living a really different lifestyle right now. :)

I used to love that show and it is VERY addictive
lol yeah I think Jax could do that to most women lol

Alisa Not to brag (well bragging a little) but it's 78 degrees where I live. Going to start working on my spring garden today. So excited. It's theraputic to work in the dirt I think.

Yes I am talking about supernatural the show...I really love it, some ppl just dont get whats so special about :P.
Ahh I watched a bit of true blood (mainly because I wanted to know who eric was :) ) but since I just turned 18, I just couldnt get over the fact of how many guys she has falling all over her. (maybe ill watch when I am older)
I love the chill and the wind in winter. :)

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol agree with you she is kind of easy and don't under stand the boys need but like the boys in it and Pam she great:-)

Supernatural is a great show and my son and little brother love it as much as me we record the season and do a weekend of popcorn and other snacks

message 22: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments My brother used to watch it with me now he doesn't, he prefers now to spent hours on his PS3. So now I watch it alone.
Hahaha Pam seemed interesting. :P

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

I luck I am older then him he 17 so comes to my house to relax lol, yes Pam is the best female out of the group of girls in the show doesnt take any crap for anyone except Erick as he is her maker :-)still have to watch Season 5 of it

message 24: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments I watched the bit where Erick's lost his memory, it was funny how he was acting. Made me laugh.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

:-) So hows your day go?

message 28: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments It was good. I read rogue rider today so the whole day went by while I was reading.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Sounds like a great day I am reading
Alpha Romeos (Magick Men #3) by Rhyannon Byrd & Madison Hayes

I think they mite have went over the top with this one finding it too much and I hate to say that as I have really enjoyed her other books

message 30: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I'm quite the fan of Supernatural myself & I just noticed another member who has Dean Winchester as her icon. The tv show True Blood is almost nothing like the books so you still may want to give them a try. I had read them first so I could not get past season one of the show. It drives me crazy when they stray so far from the book. My other "fantasy" type one that I love is The Walking Dead. Love that show. (although I'm pretty sure that if there ever is a zombie apocalypse I'm going to die on my watch while eating cookies & reading.....lol)

message 31: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments hahahaha....I really when tv shows or movies stray from the books I get why they do it but I want them to excatly how they are written.
P.S I LOVE dean.

message 32: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments *I meant I really hate it.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Agree why the do it I have order book one on the True Blood set and going by what you say I mite never watch season 5 :-) Wow three Dean fans need a Team Sam so he don't feel left out lol

message 34: by Jacy (new)

Jacy (jazabell) | 214 comments So has anyone seen Pitch Perfect? My kids really wanted to watch it so we got it and I've watched it three times instead of reading Cinder. It is supposed to be an adaptation from a novel, does anyone know the name of the book?

message 35: by Izy (new)

Izy | 15 comments I have watched it but I didnt know it was based on a book.

message 36: by Jacy (new)

Jacy (jazabell) | 214 comments I saw an interview about the movie with the director, Jason Moore and Producer Elizabeth Banks, where she said that the idea came from a book she read with her husband. When I tried to search for the title, I just got a movie tie-in, so I thought maybe someone else would know. I believe the book was non-fiction, but I'm not sure.

message 37: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Other than catching a little here or there of what my kids are watching and I confess to watching the Lisa Kleypas' book inspired Hallmark movie, Christmas with Holly, I haven't really watched TV in about 3 years. Crazy, huh?

message 38: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Wallace | 5 comments I'm doing laundry, cleaning, and hopefully writing on this sunny but very cold Sunday. Waiting for the Superbowl.

message 39: by Jacy (new)

Jacy (jazabell) | 214 comments @Lisarenee, I'm with you on watching tv. The tv at my house is either on Disney channel, Nick, or ABC Family. I usually try to catch "Once Upon a Time" on Sundays with the kids and I watch "Arrow" and "Beauty and the Beast" on the CW off the DVR right before I go to bed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I stopped really watching tv about 4 years ago.

Plus that baby is so cute! It just makes my day.

message 42: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Ok spring is in the air. I know we have a lot of gardeners on here. Anyone got their stuff in yet? What are you planting this year? I have seedling all over my house. Our weather has been really warm this year so I could've moved stuff outside already but we have a family tradition not plant outside until Good Friday. Not sure I'm going to make it that late this year though.

message 43: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Wallace | 5 comments Spring should be here, but we're supposed to get flurries either today or tomorrow. So sick of winter. But, I'm getting a jump on my cleaning, so I suppose, that's a good thing.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I am planning to start working on my garden around the end of the month.
We still have really cold nights so I should start my seeds inside sooner than later I guess.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments It is just me or can others believe it is already March? Normally I read a lot more than I have this year I feel like I am reading slower. Anyone else feel this way?

message 47: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments I can't believe it either Dawn. Kids are on Spring Break before spring this week and need to come up with some activities for them to do.
