I'm not sure what the problem could be. You should post this as an issue/bug in the ŷ������ Feedback group.

For reasons explained below, we need to choose another October Book of the Month. Please read & review the options and then go to October Book of the Month Discussion thread & post your chose of Option 1 or 2.

We have discovered that this series, Callahan & McLane, is a spin off of another series by author Kendra Elliot called Bone Secrets. There are characters that cross over from the Bone Secrets series into Vanished & the rest of the books in this series, including the character Mason Callahan. Jonetta & I wanted you to have this information so that if you plan on reading the Bone Secrets series at any future time, you will know not to read the Callahan & McLane series now as it reveals several spoilers. If you do not plan to read the Bone Secrets series any time in the future, then there's no issue with reading Vanished and joining in this buddy read. Neither Jonetta nor I will be reading Vanished at this time as we both plan to read the previous series, Bone Secrets, at some point.

For those of you who have already read Vanished, I'm sorry that we did not have this information for you earlier. Since you've already read it, feel free to discuss the book here if you like.

The question now is: What book does everyone want to read as our October Book of the Month. There are a couple of options:

1) Read & discuss Thread of Fear - the book that was #2 on our Poll

2) Read & discuss the first book of the Bone Secrets series Hidden

*Please respond in the Vanished Book Discussion thread by indicating option 1 or option 2 by Wednesday, Oct. 7. We will go with what the majority chooses as our October Book of the Month.

I say option 2 I have it on my tbr list. I have already read vanished and hate that i didnt know it was a spin off. but would be happy with either one

Today is the final day to vote on options for our October Book of the Month. Please post your choice by midnight tonight (Oct. 7) in the Vanished Book Discussion thread at Oct. BOM Options. The options are posted there in Msg. #13.

Important message from ŷ������

Private messaging (between users) will be down for approximately 2 hours tonight starting at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time. It should last no longer than 2 hours (though we're hoping it will actually be less time than that), so please don't panic if you can't send/receive messages during this time. We'll do our best to make sure this is as short as possible.

It appears that ŷ������ is experiencing issues with uploading of images (book covers, personal and group profile pictures, mastheads, etc.). If you're planning to make any of these type changes, I'd wait until we receive notification that the issue is resolved. Otherwise, your removal of the image will take but the upload of the new image will not.

This issue seems to now be resolved.

Not sure where this should go but I just saw on JD Robbs Facebook page that the release date for Secrets in Death (#45) is set for September 5, 2017!! Can't preorder it yet but it should be up on Amazon soon.

I think that's the main reason. Since Amazon now owns ŷ������ and Audible they probably want the advertising for the audio versions too.

We aren't sure how long this will be disabled, but we wanted you all to be aware in case you attempt to edit your profile in the coming days. We'll post here when this has been re-enabled.

Does that mean I can't add my NetGalley 200 reviews badge to my profile?

I don’t think so because I believe it has a url in the code.

I'm pretty sure it does too. Oh, well. I'm sure they will get it fixed soon. Nasty spammers - a pox on all their houses!

If you haven’t noticed, there’s a GR bug that adds a second read when you use the progress update from the home page to change your book status from “currently reading�� to “read.�� You’ll need to fill in your read date, too as it’s not automatically doing so. Then you’ll need to delete the second line of information below the one you just completed. Even though the data fields are empty, it’s still showing it as two reads.

This has been going on for a few days so you should go to your My Books and review the books you’ve recently completed.

I noticed that. What a pain. I had no idea why a book I had only read once was showing that I'd read it twice. I hardly ever reread!

I find myself on goodreads less because i don't like the new app and just don't get on my laptop enough.

I use the computer for 99% of stuff. The app only comes out if I'm stuck away from my computer.

I use the phone app very infrequently so the new rollout just doesn't affect me. I use it mainly when I'm traveling and can't connect with Wi-Fi. I basically use it when I've finished a book and don't remember what I want to read next, sometimes I'll post a short review.

Switch from the app to your browser on your phone. Then change it to the desktop view. It will solve your issues.

Privacy Settings
We just learned that ŷ������ changed everyone’s privacy setting so that you’ll only receive private messages from friends. To change that back to where you can allow anyone to send you a private message, you will need to edit your profile. The option is in the “Settings�� section.

(FYI, if you don't change the settings, you will not receive broadcast messages or the newsletter from us unless we are friends.)

Thank you for letting me know, Jonetta. I had no idea. Of course there is some glitch and it won't let me do it right now. The I'm not a robot is not loading. I hate that feature.

Paula, I’ve found if I sign out and then back in, that clears up. I’d also try doing it via your browser versus the app.
