Hello Emma, what are the Fred Vargas books like, I saw a review on a crime book website and noticed they had won the crime writers awards a few times but when I read the synopsis about were wolves and vampires I wasn't so sure! Are they worth a read?

Sorry, only just seen this message for some reason! I really enjoyed the Vargas book - The Three Evangelists - is the only one I've read, was for a class on crime fiction in uni. I was a bit dubious because I hadn't heard great things about Vargas, but I have to admit it hoked me in, and kept me guessing until the end. Well worth a read in my opinion!

ha, yeah, is complete trashy chick lit! Was going to use a Marcus Zusak (because I LOVED The Book Thief) but had Zante on my shelf... would recommend Zusak if you haven't read him before.
