Only if every short story included in your book was adapted.

Isabell (purzel) | 255 comments I suppose that the move/series needs to have been already broadcast?

My reason for asking is that my research on imdb for possible choices brought up The Casual Vacancy, scheduled for next year.

Correct, the movie/TV series must be released before you post the task for points.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 3050 comments Am thinking Lady Chatterley's Lover will not fit as Wikipedia stated of that:

"The opening credits state it is based on the "novels" by D.H. Lawrence. As the novel existed in three separate complete versions, this may mean the screenplay borrows material from all three versions of the novel. The first two versions are entitled The First Lady Chatterley and John Thomas and Lady Jane. There are significant differences in plot and characterization between the three versions."

Would I be right?
of course, I'd like to be proven wrong ;)

All you need do is provide a link to the imdb site.

There may be some productions not linked there, and a link to another page that shows the book is a BBC production will be fine.

Rebekah (bekalynn) Would the Hamish MacBeth mysteries work for this task?

Do you have a link?

Rebekah (bekalynn)
The Hamish MacBeth series was on the list of TV series under "H"

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14074 comments All you need for a book to work for this task is a link to a web page showing that it was a TV series or movie produced by the BBC.

Rebekah (bekalynn) Does it have to be based on one particular book or the whole series?

Rosemary | 4098 comments From Liz's answer to the question about Sherlock Holmes, I think the book you read has to have been filmed. So you would have to look at the different episodes and find the title of the book you are reading.

It has to be a particular book that was adapted.

Look at Sense and Sensibility, for example on the IMDB site:

Writers: Jane Austen (novel), Emma Thompson (screenplay)

And on the wiki link:

Sense and Sensibility is a 1981 BBC television adaptation of Jane Austen's novel.

Camille Would The End of the Affair by Graham Greene work for this task? I found BEHIND THE SCENES: THE END OF THE AFFAIR on the link provided at #299.

Thanks!

Sorry, that film was made by Columbia Pictures. Behind the Scenes is about the making of the moving not about the book. (Greene works for both 10.5 and 20.9, though.)
