Lindsay | 20 comments I read this book about 2 years ago and now I can't find it again, please help!!!

So the book starts off in a bar, the female is a college aged girl, she has a run in with a cute guy with gorgeous eyes at the bar and they start talking but their conversation is cut short because his band is taking the stage so he has to go. Instead of waiting around for him, like he asks, she goes home because she has a boyfriend.

Fast forward a few years and she and her boyfriend are living together in a cottage(?) by the beach. I believe the boyfriend was working for a law firm but I'm not certain. They are recently engaged and getting ready to go out (maybe a formal party or business dinner) on the way to where they are going their car gets cut off at an intersection and her fiance is shot and killed.

After he dies she mourns for a long time and still isn't over his death when the guy from the bar pops back up. He persues her and eventually they start dating when she finds out her fiance is still alive, he faked his own death to protect her and his family. Now he wants her back.

I remember so many small details but nothing concrete enough to find this book that it is making me insane!!!
