Currently listening to Billy Bragg's The World turned upside down, Between the Wars and St Swithin's Day.

What a great idea, Caroline! This is exactly what we need. :)

I've been listening to Fun's "We Are Young" this morning. We listened to it a lot last summer in the car while on a road trip with friends. There is something very catching about it. And I like the story and I like the way the song builds up. :)

Me too. I love Some Nights too.

I've been having a lot of fun with internet radio. But radios tend to play the same songs over and over again. If I hear One More Night, Home, or Call Me Maybe again, I'll go crazy. So now I prefer easy listening and jazz stations.

Me too! I bought myself a Pandora radio subscrption for my birthday last year. I have two stations I built for myself.

One I've called Mellow Tones which is classic 50s jazz and some big band (Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc.). My second station is called Dirty and Blue with a lot of blues from some of my favorite artists in it.

LOL. Strangely I have never heard of these guys. Some of the Finnish heavy bands seem to be more popular in Germany than in Finland. But I suspect I would have a heart attack if I'd wake up to them! ;)

On weekend mornings while cooking the breakfast and eating it in peace we usually listen to something mellow... swing or something like that (Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin...). Today it was The Very Best of Julie London. Just lovely. :)

I'm a huge fan of several Finnish and Swedish bands, you just know how to do music up there ;D Equivalence isn't actually that heavy, the first half is purely instrumental and it begins very soft and has an amazing crescendo - it definitely wakes you up. And it's just so damn beautiful - the first time I heard it, it actually made me cry (still does sometimes, this song somehow touches deep and makes my heart strings vibrate).

I've listened to them when I was a bit younger - they've got a few pretty cool songs in their repertoire. Generally, their sound is a bit too pop-ish for my taste, but I do enjoy listening to them every now and then! Tell me how you like their new album when it comes out :D

I love Pandora. I have a station I created called Meditation by the Sea. It's so relaxing. Maybe because it's a lot of the music played during my massage sessions, so it triggers that r-e-l-a-x mechanism.

I'm going to be spending this weekend listening to audio files. Paul Fleschner has turned in the files to CUTYS. I approved the first 15 on All She Wrote. And Chris Patton is finishing up the finals on A Dangerous Thing. So...about 16 hours of listening for me! :-)

Cleon Lee | 2235 comments I can't subscribe to Pandora because I don't live in USA. :(. Oh well... My favorite apps for radios are Live365, musicovery ( no ads!), and Tune In. TuneIn is great because it lets you save what you're listening to listen later. The stations aren't so great though.

No, it's the first time I've actually heard someone play this kind of instrument. The sound is really beautiful and it looks like a lot of fun to try out! It must be pretty difficult, though, because you have to strike the chords at exactly the right place - and there are no frets or anything else for orientation. Maybe I'll try it out sometime :D
So far, I've been pretty old-fashioned instrument-wise: piano and guitar ;D

Me too! It's really a lot fun to play, although I simply don't have the place to actually have a piano. Not to talk about how damn expensive these things tend to be :) I've started learning the guitar, though - much better to transport and a perfect way to annoy your neighbours!

So that's two audio books approved and soon to be on their way to a sales channel near you.

And I had the idea of doing interviews with the narrators -- so the first of those will be on my blog tomorrow. Chris Patton will talk a little about working on Fatal Shadows.

A Dangerous Thing will probably be out in about three works. Come Unto These Yellow Sands is going to run later because the method of paying was little more complicated. So that could be, God, four to six weeks, I think. But that would still be way ahead of the original schedule, so that's fine.

All She Wrote is still in production. So maybe mid-April on that one, I hope?

And Chris Patton just started The Hell You Say.

Oh Strange Fortune...is supposed to be complete by April 1st, so hopefully available by May 1st.

No. There's definitely one more story. More if the mood takes me. These stories are more episodic anyway.

I listened to them all. I recognized Max Miller as #4. I loved him in GWYS, but he's just not right here. I like the first one.

Although none of the narrators have much separation of voices between Taylor and Will.

Makes me want to re-read.
