Oh yes. The soundtrack has been a number one all over the world, which makes me happy. I believe it is still number one in the UK and has been for some time.
And I just learned that this song did win a Golden Globe for Best Song.

NB: Seen almost 3 millions times!

OMG, I still haven’t listened to it yet! I’ve been very slowly making my way through Skin After Skin, which is a very slow read compared to the regular Psycop books, but I guess I’m determined to finish it before I move on.

Judging from his music videos he is quite popular:
has over half a million visualisations. The quite happy has been seen over 600 000 times. 1 100 000 times and 1 300 000 times. Basically I'm the only one who didn't know him ;-).
Here an from 2009, in which he also talks about homophobic bullying and the fact that «''Equal rights, once established, have to be protected.'' To this end, whenever he employs people, he positively discriminates, so that even his roadies are not white, straight males, which is some achievement».

Here's something for you Eurovision Song Contest fans. ;-) Finland will take part in with a song called Monsters performed by Saara Aalto (who is from my town, I have to brag, LOL). Here's Saara singing Monsters live in 34 languages (languages from all the Eurovision countries). Can you spot your language? :-)

Oh, is it that time of year again?! :D

I don't believe I've ever heard of him. Thank you for the links.

Speaking of soundtracks... Person of Interest. OMG. LOVE. In the first CD pamphlet they said "we didn't need a composer. We needed a brilliant composer." Well, they got one! It's Ramin Djawadi, who's done the Game of Thrones soundtrack and others.

Here my favourite song:

I'm glad that a twist of fate put her in contact with the Seeger family, if not she would have been forgotten.

Sons of the Pioneers.
DON'T LAUGH AT ME!!!
I'm not even sure why but it sort of reminds me of summers as a kid. The harmony is terrific and a lot of the lyrics are actually really beautiful and poetic. If you don't mind cowboys. ;-)

My favorite is a called "Slow Moving Cattle." I can't find it anywhere though. It's frequently confused with something called "Lazy Moving Cattle" which is QUITE different. ;-D

I just bought three of their earlier CDs. I find them very much in tune with my characters right now...

So my Dad went searching the internet for the newest Piano Guys album and The Browne Sisters popped up in his search results. He ended up buying both for my Mom for Christmas, and now I’m listening to Josh sing in my parents living room on Christmas, which was totally unexpected. :-)

This gave me a huge smile! :-)
Do they know?
Yeah, they know. I played some of their CDs over Thanksgiving when my parents were here, because I knew they’d appreciate the good music. I just didn’t think my a Dad would then buy some himself. :-)

Ben Folds' lyrics tend to be quite raw and/or insightful and he's a gifted musician. I've seen him live several times and puts on a hell of good show. I absolutely love his music.
