Susie | 2 comments Hi my name is Susie and I am new to good reads. I am also the author of an autobiography called The Sky's the limit and I would like to share it with you if that's ok.

Product Description
Born in Stockton-on-Tees with Cerebral Palsy, Susan Bennett throughout her early life was constantly told that she wouldn’t be able to walk, talk properly, move properly, swim, hold a job down or live a‘normal life “Whatever that is, says Susan. As she grew, Susan needed to prove this was not the case. Not to herself you understand, because she always knew she would be able to do these things, but to those in the medical and educational fraternity and other doubters.

This book demonstrates Susan’s steely resolve to overcome all of life’s obstacles, some physical and some emotional and some quite devastating. The book reflects Susan’s feelings of cherishing what you have and not worrying about what you don’t have, all with a happy demeanour. One by one the ‘can’t do’s are ticked off as ‘done.

Susan says: “If anyone gets a modicum of motivation from reading this book, then it has been worthwhile.

The link for the book can be found here

Thank you for your time and I'm glad to be a member

Olga Miret (goodreadscomolganm) | 99 comments Hi everybody:
Just wanted to tell you that my new romantic novella (around 74 pages), Click Me Happy! is now finally on sale. For week it will be in promotion at the special price of $0.99. And not only that, I offer you the chance to choose between three endings: an unhappy one, a neutral one, and a happy one. Take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity!
I leave you the description and links. Thank you for reading and sharing! And of course, don’t forget to CLICK!

Do you believe in love at first sight or first click? Do you think your life should be a romantic novel? Would you like to be able to choose the ending? If you’ve answered YES to any of these questions or feel intrigued by them, this novel offers you a unique opportunity. You can choose what kind of ending you want: unhappy, happy or neutral.
Lilith, the protagonist, does not believe in all that ‘romantic nonsense. When her boss and friend, Debbie, asks her to create a digital books section for the library where they both work she triggers a series of events that shake all of Lilith’s strongly held beliefs.
Her dislike for social networking is put to the test and despite her love for privacy and technological naïveté she manages to make a number of virtual connections. The most interesting one, without a question, is Zane, a talented and attractive author and painter. Their friendship quickly develops into something else. But, what exactly? Lilith doesn’t have a clue.
A bet with Rowena, her childhood best-friend, offers her an opportunity to test her feelings for Zane and their relationship and a meeting, ‘real this time, is organised in the gorgeous setting of Bermuda.
At that point, you, the reader, have the choice. Do you want the story to end up happy ever after? Do you think there’s no chance for them? Or maybe you believe that there has to be more to life than romantic stories and a neutral ending or new beginning is more true to life? You can pick and choose your ending, or you can read all of them and choose your favourite, or even create your own and let me know. I’d love to hear from you! (I leave you links to contact me at the end.) Don’t be strangers!

I was inspired to write this book because normally dystopian fiction that deals with procreation and fertility has historically told the story from a female perspective where women are controlled. I wondered what would happen if I turned the tables and put men in that position. In addition there is concern regarding western fertility levels, how often have you been told that female contraceptive in the water we drink is affecting male fertility or that the use of plastics in modern societies has an impact on human fertility?
Writing in my genre is different from others because it uses men. Traditionally women have been placed in the position of being controlled because they are the ones that carry children.

John Minx (john_minx) | 2 comments Meet Michael Galvin, the luckiest man in Ormskirk at the age of twenty-eight: living with the woman of his dreams and completely at ease with this outrageous slice of good fortune. So maybe he hates his job at UK Avionics, even if it isn’t the most taxing role in the world; and then there’s his larger-than-life older brother, Robert, who continues to cast a spell over the town with his endless revelries and reckless ways. But all in all, he has a lot to feel thankful for and little reason for complaint.
Unfortunately for Michael, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting. Or, to put it another way, his comfort zone is about to be demolished in the most spectacular fashion as the forces of love and hate go toe to toe

A darkly comic and poignant exploration of love, sex, marriage, and sibling rivalry.

The book's prologue can be read here:

Sammy (sam241) A YA fantasy romance that makes fun of YA fantasy romance without making fun of YA fantasy romance. Make sense?

The Binding
The Binding (Chronicles of Azaria #1) by Sam Dogra

What do you do when you can't trust your heart?
All seventeen year-old Eliza Bryant wants is to avoid a Binding the ancient spell that forces couples into a lifelong bond. It cursed her sister, and for the last two years it’s tried to claim her, too. Her monthly hiding ritual worked brilliantly, until the night she ran into Ryan, a mysterious bounty-hunter. Now Bound to him, Eliza must spend every moment at his side, else she’ll transform into an Unbound; a lifeless husk without mind or soul.

Unfortunately, Ryan’s not looking to settle, and Eliza is dragged into his crazy life on the run. Still, she’s not going to take this lying down. Between grappling with the false feelings conjured by the spell and fleeing an unseen enemy, she plans to find a way to break her Binding; a feat nobody’s achieved in two thousand years. The key to her freedom lies closer than she thinks, and it’s deeply connected to Ryan’s past.

Have a read if you enjoy:

1) A wise-cracking heroine
2) A naive hero
3) A host of embarrassing situations
4) A curse that playfully makes fun of every romance book ever written
5) Everything else in between

What happens when Adrian, an actuary, has his banal and predictable existence turned upside down by sinister forces that he can neither understand nor control? How will he react to a revelation that leaves his life in turmoil? Will he surrender or strive for redemption in an altered world, where rationality, scientific logic and algorithms no longer provide the answers?

Broken Road was recently selected as the August Book of the Month for ŷ YA & NA Romance group! Discussions will open on August 1st. Also, there is a contest going on as we speak (write?) whereby you can enter to win a signed copy of my novel! If you answer the question correctly, then your name will be added to a random drawing and the winner gets the prize! If you're interested, you have to enter soon. As I'm sure you all know, the baby Prince or Princess is due ANY MOMENT!!! I'm so excited as I'm sure you all are! Wish I were in England right now. Then again, I'm always wishing I were in England. My book 'Nothing you can do' has been well received by book and writing groups but so far I've not been able to persuade someone to put up a Kindle or ŷ review.

In an effort to get the book moving it's free for 5 days starting 25th July (tomorrow!!).

The book's about coping with a dying parent and the way we go about handling a death in the family in the 21st century.

It's a tough read in places, occasionally humorous and ultimately worth your time.
It would be great to get some feedback from you if you're still reviewing.

If you love a London Thriller - take a look at The Evil Beneath. It's a Psychological Suspense about a serial killer leaving corpses under London Bridges.

There's a body in the water - and she's wearing your clothes...

Another cryptic message, another body under a bridge and Juliet Grey has no idea why she's being targetted and why her own possessions are being left on the bodies.

Lewis Nene (lewisneneauthor) | 13 comments Hi all,
Back again. Half way through my 5 day free giveaway and things are going well.

I'm having a five day free July promotion on my novel 'Nothing you can do' - July 25th - July 29th.

'Nothing you can do' is about a man trying to come to terms with a death in the family. When Sam Dickens asks Helen James, a Cambridge therapist, to 'fix' him it's because Sam knows he's in trouble.
In life there are some things that can't be fixed. Some times there's nothing you can do about the unforgivable mistakes we make.
The truth is a death in the family is like a plane crash - no one walks away from the wreckage.

If you have any other contacts/friends who would be interested in a free straight fiction read please pass on the link.
Hope all's well with you.

Best wishes,

Lewis Nene.

Colin Taber Hi all!

The 1st book in my new alternate history series is out and about.

Here's the blurb:

The United States of Vinland: The Landing

What if?

What if the descendants of the Vikings who settled Greenland and went on to reach North America around the end of the first millennium had stayed?

Five hundred years later, would Christopher Columbus have arrived to the south of an eastern seaboard dotted with centuries old settlements and towns hosting devotees to Thor and Odin?

Might the Norse have gone on to build a nation as dominant as the United States of our own world?

A thousand years after reaching Greenland, Vinland and Markland, would we still have had two world wars? What might the world look like? Where might the political and religious divides be drawn?

This is the New World.

***

At the turn of the first millennium:

Eskil, orphaned in war, but now a man, is leading his followers to found a settlement dedicated to Asgard’s gods in the newly discovered lands in the west. There, after tests, adventures and challenges, he will leave a legacy that will grow to become the strongest nation the world has ever seen.

The Landing is the first book in The United States of Vinland series and is an alternate history that begins the saga with the establishment of the first Markland halls.

Welcome to Norse America.

Feel free to check it out!

We researched for 6 months, gave ourselves a name [Write Brain Trust] and have now published about 25 novels/small anthologies/cookbooks/YA books -- all of us helping others to accomplish the goal of becoming a published author. It's been a wonderfully empowering "ride" and one that I've loved [most of the time] along the way.
