Is there a sense of innocence and experience being explored in Out of Season? Where do the characters lie on the innocence to experience continuum?

I think both the man,and the woman, were naive, innocent,and certainly inexperienced. both really didn't seem to understand how big a deal "sex" really is,and that the first time in most cases is less then gleaming,and can be disappointing. as they say......practice makes perfect! lol!
